Name?

hi, my name is Celery, sometimes my friends call me Cellie. back in the day before i had any actual online tag, when i created characters in games i would just pick random foods. the one i named "Celery" ended up becoming a relevant character, so it just became my online alias henceforth.

Hobbies?

there are 3 things i have been doing for about as long as my memory exists: playing video games, making art, and collecting bugs. my favorite type of game has always been rpg's; i love to collect stuff, grow stronger, grind loot and go exploring. being someone that loves to create, Minecraft is one of my favorite games of all time. i consider building a genuine art form! i started off doodling pictures as a child, and while i can still draw if i really put my mind to it, my true creative passion is pottery. i don't have a studio right now, but if i could make bowls and mugs and vases every day, i would. as for the bugs, i seem to have missed out on that instinctual fear most people are born with. i see them as cute, tiny animals, the more alien-looking the better!

Why the website?

to be honest, like many, i am irritated with the modern internet and social media. nothing is personal anymore, everything is about advertisements, statistics, endless scrolling, and AI. i heard about neocities from onio's viral youtube video and wanted to give it a shot. building this website with my own hands and brain has been so fun, filling it with my own thoughts and interests, exactly how i want! not to mention being able to explore everyone else's! learning bits of html code makes me feel like i am improving my personal skillset and knowledge at the same time, too. before i made this website, i didn't know what a <p> was.
